Scored this old Fairbanks grain elevator scale this morning! Got a call last night from some friends that do grain elevator demolition, and he had rescued the complete scale from the last one and wanted to know if I was interested? He dropped it off at 7:15 this morning on his way thru! Pictures show it as received and after I washed it off.

Nice scale!!!

Picked up a framed label then the next day bought a repro sign to match.

I looked at this Recruit sign at Dixie gas and liked it but I thought it was over priced. Bought it on e-bay last week. Another advantage to going to the shows. Seeing things in person. I have done this several times.

I noticed this sign on Craigslist but did not call about it. It showed up at the Brimfield Ma. antique show today and I purchased it.

I have a collection of soap dispensers so I added this one today.

I still like to purchase these old cateye marble signs when the price is right.

Humm, I think it would be a challenge getting milk from beef cattle, particularly as they seem to be steers...LOL

Great finds!

This was a great way to start off the holliday weekend yesterday!
Washington state (as well as every state) has had some very stoopid laws down through history and this sign is a product of one of them.
Prohibition was over in 1932 and Wa. state passed a law that women could not sit at a bar but could be in a bar/lounge if it had booths.
Very early PINK neon "Booths For Ladies" sign from the iconic Sports Center Cafe in Everett Washington and it came with a copy of a picture of it that was in the Seattle Times in 1982!

A few more milk Bottles came my way this week I guess it was a western themed week with the Frontier Days, Annie Oakley and Hopalong Cassidy bottles.



Also got a couple of Airflow Pedal planes from a friends estate I hung them in the garage to add a little more to the collection.





And by far my best buy of the week was this!
I watched it roll off of the rail car at my auto facility the color caught my eye so I followed the unloaders to the parking area and as luck would have it, the car was coming to my local dealership so I made a few calls, after explaining that I was the manager at the auto ramp for the train crews with the railroad and was interested in the car the manager at the dealership called and was a bit surprised that I saw the car before they had but of course they were happy to sell it to me, they even had a salesman drive down and get it right away instead of waiting for it to be delivered by truck it's a blast to drive and has so much more power than my last one.
I'm going to enjoy this ride. (even if it won't haul any pumps)

Here is a beer sign I found over by Hoisington, KS.

Found this Tobacco Cutter today. Seems pretty interesting and cool looking.

Love the Campbell's Soup display and collection of soup mugs. I have serveral versions we use frequently. I found this 2 years go and I use them for soup and sandwichs all the time. Plates are the same size, angle shot makes one look larger.

Unfortunately the Sherwin Williams banner is made of paper and by the time they got it off the wall and put it up for auction it had designated into many pieces with some missing. I am going to try to salvage it somewhat by gluing it to a board. I should have looked harder for the missing pieces. Gone to history because of lack of care !

Great paint items. Did you happen to get anything spray paint related? Or maybe where you got them they have spray paint stuff??? I would be very interested.
