When I was a kid, my dad had this exact radio out in the garage. He would listen to Tiger games on summer afternoons on it on Radio 800 CKLW. I always wondered where it came from. I was telling my mom the other day that I had found one just like it on ebay, and she commenced to tell me that it was her radio before they were married in 1956. And it somehow got delegated to the garage. I probably listened to the '68 Tigers win the world series with dad on this. Well not this exact one. But it is the same so I've been looking for a nice one for some time. Finally found this one on ebay. It didn't work so I had it shipped directly to Paul Richards on the west side of Michigan. He's a guru with these old radios. I got about $180 in it, which it's not worth. But it's priceless to me!!!

Wow Steve that reminded me a lot of when I was a boy and my grandfather had an AM radio near his workbench. I would watch him and my Dad do auto upholstery work, and in the background he had on WPAT from Paterson playing old music...........

nice radio, love the colour

last year I saw this citroen radiator grille in a car swap meet but it was too expensive ( the black one on the left of the yellow one )

today, one year later at the same car swap meet the seller had still the grill and I manage to negociate it

it was quite dirty, I hand polished all the aluminium parts and then applied a coat of bee wax and polished the old paint

it came from a Citroën Traction 11 légère 1954
