Many people are going to be hurt by this. It never made sense even when the "big boys" started "mining" and trading it. And even worse it may have helped nefarious players on the world political stage.
That said I remember talking about Bitcoin when it was at a buck it would have been a nice ride up to 1000 let alone 8K today. 😎

How about 19K?
I know someone who invested $100 in 2010 and sold last December.

I started buying litecoin about a month ago. I started off buying just a little bit, but have been buying more as the price has dropped. Yesterday I purchased 2 litecoin at 130 dollars each, today it has been hovering around the 125 dollar mark. I am just doing it because I am bored, LOL. Heck, I have spent money on worse things hahahaha...

I guess that being kind of uninformed has kept me out of this web of mystery. I can understand actual things selling for hard currency, whether through actual sales, hand to hand or via the internet. I never got how someone....not backed by [anything of value] could start selling an idea of artificial monies? Nothing in hand....just numbers on the net? I had the same thing in 2008 with my 401K when the market tanked....I was told that it was only a paper loss since I never had the cash in hand? Seemed real to me then and it was money invested in actual companies? Bitcoin reminds me of the Dot Com craze....several years ago. Paul www.severngaspumps.com

I want to make it clear that this is very risky. I would not invest any money that you would not feel comfortable just giving away.

Here's a great bitcoin analogy that really sums it up well today.
