Has anyone ever seen one?
Just wonder if one exists.
Never have seen one....for that matter, I have seen very little Tareyton signage. Old magazine ads, lighters, etc. are common.
Here's a cardboard poster from my collection.
Wow Tom that thing looks old!! The font on the prices looks 20's-30's maybe?? I had no idea the brand went back that far. Pretty cool!! Thanks for sharing!
When I was a kid, my mom always smoked Tareytons and my dad always smoked Winstons. It's kind of demented, but I have a Winston thermo and I thought it would be cool to hang a Tareyton thermo next to it.
Steve if I remember right I think my Grandfather used to smoke those when I was little.
I'd guess late 30's/early 40's, given the price. These were unfiltered cork-tipped cigarettes. In '54, they were replaced by the filtered variety, and used the package design in your posted pic. I don't think Tareytons were really popular, which is maybe why there doesn't seem to be a lot of signage, etc.
Not a thermometer, but an interesting tin: 331125646072
Also, the "Henry Comics" cards from the 30s are interesting... 150768222906
