I want to buy a reproduction Gilmore Red Lion plus Tetraethyl globe for my pump, but can't seem to find one. I've found the blu-green, roar with gilmore, and the Gilmore with Ethyl, but not the Red Lion one. I've seen the decals around for it, but not the globe, are they not reproducing it anymore? This is my first pump, Bennett 371. Thanks for any help, I really appreciate it!!!

Hi Jake and welcome to Oldgas.
I believe T-Ways Graphics has the globe you are looking for. I think he's on vacation this week so if you don't get a response right away don't worry. Try this link. http://www.t-waysgraphics.com/index.html

Hey thanks a lot! I noticed that T-ways is 15", which i don't have a problem with but they're more expensive than the 13.5". I'll have to debate the price with the other half tonight unless i find one a little cheaper. thanks again, this is the best site on the net!

I don't think anyone ever made the tetraethyl in 13 1/2 as a repo but I could be wrong.

Your right about the cost difference between 13 1/2" to 15". It took me a year of saving up for the 15" but well worth the wait. Good luck.

Those are both awesome pumps, what kind of paint did you use, is there correct color codes for gilmore?

The paint used on these pumps is PPG automotive base coat/clear coat. I did not save the paint codes. The red is a late ninties volvo color and the tan is a 1927 model A color. Both pumps were painted at the same time. One is a friends and the other is mine.

I believe these are the correct DUPONT paint codes...

DuPont Numbers
Cream – ys481k
Red – rs628k

When/if you buy the globe from Slama, ask him, maybe he will tell you what he uses.

I know GM "victory red" is a close match to the red, I always use it on my stuff. Can't remember right now, the official name for the cream color I use. Much lighter though than the tan on the pumps above.
