while researching a Texaco sign i came across this truck museum in New Zealand's " deep south"... actually i knew about the museum but not about the photos....
A member suggested I post the link

it also has some rather nice looking signs and pumps...the link is to Flickr a photo site and is safe:

if you wish to investigate further just google Bill Richards Truck Museum.. also a couple of videos on Utube.

Texaco truck rocks. I really like that huge water and air meter that looks like a clock face pump. Cool!

I've been redoing bookshelves and my gas pump ID book is buried in a box somewhere so I can't look it up, though on closer inspection (wheels) it might be for oil--what is that twin mini glass cylinder beige pump right after the dozer pictures? For oil for the big trucks? Common? Rare? or specific to Australia?

hmmm not sure, i can't think of any reason for a sight glass on an oil/ diesel pump where as it may have something to do with a filtering system on a petrol pump.
Hopefully another member has seen one
I recognize a lot of the place names and company names from Otago and Southland Provinces. Gotta love all the drip trays underneath them..

Great collection, trucks are the best! The attention to detail is top notch. I could spend a month looking at that awesome collection. He needs one more tho.....my 41 IH K4 gas truck.
