A survivor, it would seem, is one that there is enough there to be restored(hence not a "parts pump"). A survivor would then be an unrestored pump. Dave

Left pump, survivor, right pump, unrestored. If you pulled up to these two pumps sitting on an island you'd believe the one is simply for display and non functional while the other one you'd likely be able to get gas from.

Survivor was also the name of a TV reality series where you got to see a man's naked butt walking down a beach.

For what it's worth both are internally complete, the wayne's pump moves freely so push come to shove they both might still work if need be.

I've been asked why I have'nt restore them, all I say beacuse they're still standing.

A survivor pump is one that you look and say it would be a crime to restore it.
