Hey guys. Wasn't sure how to search for this. A local fella has a Tokheim 39 tall for sale. He partially restored it himself and got it in his head along the way that the calculator was too far gone and just pitched it.
He has the original faceplates, but obviously without a computer all the small square holes are just...holes.
Just wondering if there's a quick workaround to make it look like the computer wheels are still there. A kit of some sort?

I would get another computer for it. Somewhat common pump. I am sure someone on Old Gas has one.

Thanks Wes. Can anyone post an approximate price for one? I probably need whatever holds the computer up too.

The computers in all pumps typically mounted on brackets which could have been heavy steel or cast iron. I would recommend posting a picture of what you have.

Computers can cost $100 to $150 plus shipping. This is an unrestored computer

If you have to get this done on the cheap you can find a way to mount up the face plates and then buy a sheet of computer numbers from a part supply vendor and simply tape them to the backside so the holes are filled. The sheet of numbers is $10-15.

Thomas,

As Sean said, you can just rig the face plates in place with some decals to fill the holes, actually won't look that bad if you figure out how to set them back slightly from the face plate, that's the cheapest route.

However if you want to go back original then I do have a computer that will actually crank back and the wheels, although used, will look quite nice for a very reasonable price. PM me if interested.

Tom.
