I've just received this cardboard advertising for a motorcycle specialised in FN motorcycles, those were produced in Belgium in Herstal, Liege by FN company The FN ( "Fabrique Nationnale d'arme de guerre" which translate by "national factory of war weapon" ) is well know for making gun for a long time, the most know is the FN Fal, FN Uzi, browning
but they also produced motorcycles and some of them are real beauties an really rare
I got the chance to bought this wonderful advertising for a motorcycles dealer here in Belgium, the poster was printed in Liege and was used in Belgium. The advantage to authenticate original advertising poster, tin signs and porcelain signs in Belgium is that there was a law on public display were each advertisng must have a tax stamps on it with the date where it was displayed and this motorcycle poster is dated from 1933
I framed it and it's a great piece of local history as I live near where the motorcycles where produced
and to show what they produced in motorcycles
they also produced some great car like this 1914 FN
