I've had a bunch of globes boxed up for about 6 months with no time to get them displayed or even out of the box.It was killing me to know they were just suffocating packed away in packing peanuts and bubble wrap.So I made a trip to lowes today spent a whole 40 bucks on some shelving & now I have globes on display.

I know they are all crappy common globes but thats all I can afford.I'll take all the common globes I can someones gaoota have um so it might as well be me!

Now I just gotta get some globe rings so they do not ger knocked over & broken. Then I need to get um lighted up!Perhaps someday?I think it looks a whole lot better than in boxes though!Still have a couple more I gotta get out.
Hope ya enjoy cause I sure do.

I need some more bodies as well have about 4 loose sets of lenses floating around too.
Anyone making anything for gill lenses?

Thanks for lookin',
Tom

tom nothin crappy about em!some are the same ones i have, and as long as you like em thats what matters.bad(good?) thing is you will soon start buyin more and higher end ones.me i am now startin to like glass bodies.besides what better wway to un-bore yourself then by takin out a bunch of petro stuff and gettin it displayed.great collection!!! ps hint on cheap globe rings. large coffee can cut down to about 5/8 3/4 punch three holes in em and screws and done.paint em if ya want.wont hold em up in a hurricane, but keeps em from fallin, look presentable, and empty cans are usually free!!!!

Globes look great Tom; Buy what you like or can afford, we all pretty much started this way. They're only gonna go up in value. I'm sitting on a few just like yours for that reason. I was told several years ago this hobby has peaked, If I had sold out back then I'd be kicking myself in the ;ss with both feet;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;Ron

Looks good! We've gotta get another shelf put up to hold our globes, too. When we built our lighted shelf, it held all the globes we had at the time. Since then, they've multiplied...:-) We've got 'em in a closet and in boxes right now, too.

Good looking collection! I wish I had some of the "crappy common" globes back that I have sold over the years. I hate it when I have to sell something!!!
