I am picking up a couple early cement crown globes, and I'm trying to track down or locate a picture showing them in use at a station.
I am assuming they sat at corners of the station near the driveway or entrance... but I'd still love to see it in a photo.
Let me know if you have ever seen one in a photo, and I would be glad to make a $$ contribution to OldGas if someone is able to post a photo showing them.
Thanks

Wow brings back memories of when I first saw those cement globes on that building near me. I figured they were one offs. Bryce, do you know anything about these cement globes?

how funny- at first glance at the first photo - I thought to myself "Cement crowns on an asphalt roof? Why? How were they anchored?". Then I looked further and saw them on top of the wall- now THAT makes a little more sense, LOL. First cement crown I've seen. Cool!

picked up the globes last weekend... these particular ones came from a former station in Chicago. the guy I bought them from had a lot of info on them. Really neat pieces, but very heavy!
