I messaged the seller asking about the authenticity and saying I only bought it because it said original. Its a gift for someone who does know about these things but I wanted it to be a surprise. Now I fear I've made a mistake. The seller said I can get my money back.

Is this a reproduction? ANy chance its original??

I kinda feel bad for being yet another person who is asking you guys this question, BUT I am happy to have registered. I'm kinda falling in love with signs and this site seems to be an AMAZING resource

Plenty of information can be found on the forums about the original road signs and reproductions. Sadly you're going to find that eBay is almost the worst place to shop for these because most of them are reproductions. Far better would be to talk to a few collectors on here and get a legitimate sign from one of them.

"Real" US 66 shield will never have 3 mounting holes, with one on each "ear". All shields were posted on a pole with two mounting holes, one at the top and bottom.

This US AZ 66 is fake. First sold by Rusty Relics and now this seller. I contacted him but he never replied.
