Hey guys I've just bought this antique streamline train today, anybody could help me identifying the brand of this toy, there is no mark or brand on it

the train consist of 3 train car joined with 2 separate parts, the train is electric with switch on the locomotive with a lightbulb in front, each parts are metal and the train is pressed steel with blue and silver paint. The train is O scale

it's written "1357" on each car

thanks

The engine front and wheel covers looks european style. What's the motor look like? The number doesn't come up for me as any American Flyer, Lionel, or Marx.

I'm thinking something imported. A shot of the undercarriage might be helpful and the motor system.

OK, the picture of the motor I think confirmed what I first thought. You have likely a non-US train. The 3rd-rail power pickup and vestibule(connectors for pass thrus on the cars) are not typical for Lionel, AF, Marx or Hoge. The closest I found of the pickup shoe was 1930's Marklin. Those vestibules are unique and I tried searching for them but could not find any that matched those covered styles. The train has been repainted so the number on the cars is not helpful. And finally the coupler on the engine looks to be the early type used by Marklin

It still might be some other company, but I think if you send pictures to one of the UK/European train groups you can start there.

I've just got and answer from Hans van Dissel :
"It is made by the Japanese firm of Seki in the 1930s for the Western market, where it was sold under the name Bryant.

That's early for Japanese toys, so a great find!
