I am very happy to have found this Mobil Weather Vane. It came from the original owners family, it had been stored in their attic for the last 44 years. The actual station was located about 2 miles from where I live.
The pole, N,S,W E are all solid brass as well as everything else except the porcelain Pegasus.
Were these originally painted black when new, or were they plain brass?
Anyone have any information about these?
Thank you Steve

No not yet, they have not found it yet, currently lost in the attic. I picked up some 1/8" sheet brass, and I have the 3/8" brass rod. I have scaled it out and my machinist and I will make an exact replica.

Finally had time to work on the "Pointer" end. Came out nice, a bit more fine tuning.
