Hello all - I picked up a Bennett 4002 here locally (just for fun). Does anyone know the year they started making this, the Bennett 4000 Series pumps? The books I have only go up to the Bennett 3000 series, so it must be a newer model. Before I picked it up, it looked like a Bennett 3014, from the pictures in Jack's books. But when I brought it home the nameplate says 4002.

I know they are not very collectable, but I am liking all the stainless steel so far. I'll probably clean it up and keep it in my garage. It's a Mobil pump.

Thanks in advance for any info!

Eric

The first year for the 4000 Series was 1968, many pictures of the 4000 will be shown in the 3rd Ed. when it comes out. Incidentally I extended the book from 1965 to 1975 when the first digitals came out.

Looks an awful lot like my Bennett 3013's.
Believe they came out in the 60's.

Correction! Guys - it IS a Bennett 3015! Today is the first day I have had a chance to get it out and look at it since I bought it, and it is definitely a 3015 (I was looking at the wrong number in the dark - must be getting old!).

Jack - I did find the Bennett 3015 in your book, thanks. I'll get some more numbers off of the pumps to see if you guys can help me date it. The last inspection sticker is from 1998.

Part of the "mystery" is solved.

Thanks, Eric
