I have been seeing this sign show up more and more and the prices have gone through the roof.

My question is does anyone have good knowlegede for this sign to be a reproduction or fantasy piece? I do not believe these to be original.

Not familiar with this sign. It's possible it's original. Rich Penn Auctions sold one in 2011 for $300.

Looks like they had 2 colors, blue or red background.

Whenever I see small signs like this I wonder where they were placed and used. Maybe they are signs used on the General Motors trains of the 40's and up?

I don't believe it is from a locomotive. General Motors railroad operations were called the Electro Motive Division of General Motors. Trains had EMD markings, not GM.
