Hello, I've had this neon sign for probably 20 yrs. I don't plug it in that often but when I do it makes loud humming sound for maybe 20minutes then it dies down. Is it just warming? up or burning out? My other neons don't do that. It doesn't seem to be anything vibrating inside of it? Any thoughts?

Agreed, if it's bothersome, I'd change the transformer. Lots of small neon trAnsformers on eBay and amazon.

Open up the sign and make sure the neon wires are tight. I had a noisy one and all I did was bend the wires coming out of the tubes and it stopped.

Thanks
Mike

If they are lose, you may want to try to distance the wires. You can get cross talk between wires that creates hum.
