Hi guys, new here. Got this at an auction. Not sure what it is, but saw the "Standard" and thought it had to be oil/gas related. Can anyone tell me what it's from? Thanks.

Have seen that logo before, I believe it something to do with a heater or a stove.

Jim's right, this is the plumbing 'Standard' easily ID'd by the font they have used for nearly forever.

Using the term 'standard' meant something far different when these companies were formed. Nowadays folks think 'standard' means ordinary. Years ago standard meant the mark of excellence and dependability in category. Rockefeller used 'standard' to denote the reliability of his kerosene product over competitors in a time when refining was more crude and refiners had little idea or worry about quality control. Likewise American Standard was formed from several companies with the goal of providing uniform dependable products.
