Hey guys.
I had a friend who found 2 of these signs in the original shipping crate. What time period do you all think they're from?

Mark 4 was a player in the aftermarket auto a/c game from the 1950's-the 70's. Can't help you with the age of the sign. Any clues to help date it on the shipping crate?

My first full time job working on cars was hanging Mark IV aftermarket A/C units on cars back in the summer of 1966. Some customers looked apprehensive about a teenager drilling holes in their firewall. wink Can't say I remember what our signs looked like. I was flinging wrenches and Freon everywhere.

It was a popular unit to use in new tractors in the early 70's too. Tractor manufacturers were transitioning to factory cabs and trying to find a better alternative to swamp coolers. The Mark IV was a natural fit!
