Here is one of mine. The aged, cracked, yellow and red paint looks absolutely great in person. If you look close, you can make out the outline of a shell and the word "SHELL" on both doors.

I had a hard time finding out what the square below the shell would have said. The only thing I have to go off of, is a picture that I found on Google images (last photo), but the large word "SHELL in the logo doesn't match.

The square on your pump would have said "GASOLINE", "PREMIUM" or "AVIATION"

There is two versions of the non-computing Wayne 70. One is the clockface and the other is a Non-computing Veeder-Root. There is no variator, this sale wheels or total sales wheels on the non-computing Veeder-Root.

This is a high volume pump that would have been used at a truck stop or some place were a lot of gas was needed in one pumping. Notice the four wheel early Veeder-Root. Jack`s book shows a pump with visi guage like this one but it says it is a non-comping pump model 577-R. Not sure if this pump is original or converted.

Thanks Matt. I went out to see if I could figure it out, and it appears to show up better in the picture than in person...lol. I'll have to spend more time to try to figure it out later, as it's blocked in by another pump right now. But I appreciate the info.

It looks like you can see the last three letters "IUM" which would be PREMIUM.

Here are a couple 70s I had when I started collecting in 1995. The brown one was $150.00 and the Union 76 was $200.00. Today that seems dirt cheap but back then that is all they were worth.

Way to go Braden! Thanx for doing this!
Wayne 70 was my first pump and they will always hold a special place for me.
Story is that I saw a four window 70 for sale on CL for $350 but it was about 100+ miles away so I contacted the seller and let them know I was on my way with cash.
It was a long winding road to get there and the truck was not acting right adding time to the trip but finally got there and called the seller who said, "didn't you just pick it up??"
So, I went home with a empty bed but about a week later I got the call to come and get this one... It was a 1937 Wayne 70 original Flying A in much better shape for only $150!
Love em,,,

Here is another that I had. Original Chevron from around 1945.

Not sure of the model, but here is 1/2 of a wayne 70 twin. I did see another 1/2 about 15 years ago but passed as I figured I would never find the other half. Then bought this one 2 years ago but still looking for the other half. Anyone got one with an oddball base that looks like this one.
Nice pump with original paint and ad glasses.
