Don't post it here for the bad guys to see, but please PM me if you know how to spot the originals of this sign.
What is the correct size would probably be the best way.
Correct number of holes and placement of holes.
This is a sign I've always wanted but I know they fake the heck out of them.
Again, please PM info. I don't want fakers to see correct info.
Thanks!!

If the back is bright flat white it's fake.

Well they got a good pic of front. Guest among us. Why I have never tried to master posting pics here. Pic from recent show straight on up close with discussion as to worth produced another fraud to hit the market or it was just great timing.
Makes me mad, if Jim had a program to put the line across ever pic it would be a great service to the purist.

Well I probably high jacking post and maybe just should not have posted. But when you post straight on close up pics of signs you play in to people hands as they use them to generate fake signs.
A water mark (line) from corner to corner would make them much harder to use.

The paranoia confuses me.

Oldgas makes up 1%-5% of the images of Gas and Oil signs on the internet, if that. Pinterest, Google, Flickr, Bing to name a small number of sources have millions of ready to fake and steal images waiting and ready for India to come calling (or copying, pasting and/or saving in this instance). I guess I can kinda understand not getting super specific about the minute indicators/tells for a fake out in the open, but asking Oldgas to watermark images is not gonna accomplish anything other than wasting someone's time and, possibly, money. My 2 cents...

my opinion is 1% is 1% too many. Why look on ebay full of fakes when you can go our site to find the real deal?

I agree with your concerns 100%, but I don't think there preying on oldgas for artwork- these porcelain sign books
have all the illustrations they need with better pictures
than were posting- if anything were telling them the mistakes there making on these aftermarket signs, my 2ยข .. ... cool
