I've been watching this can on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-2-gal-KATZ-...119.m1438.l2649While i'm not shocked at how high the reserve and current bid is at, its still quite a sum. My question is this: what is the most you've seen a can sell for? Any can, quart, 2 gallon, even a tipper.

can of subject: .. ...  still relatively low as too what some cans have sold for although the reserve has not been met-

I was once told by a collector that after buying an expensive sign, he would go home and tell his wife that he was buying it for "their" collection.

Harley rockers fetch good numbers. Can't recall the highest though.

I'd love to know what the highest rocker can someone has seen recorded? we need a section on "record holders"- ("the hall of fame") - qts, 5qts & so on as with signs, pumps etc - didn't the harley rocker go for 8k? .. ...

Can prices are crazy for rare ones and for some reason I keep buying. 3 years ago at Iowa that Mutual one gallon sold for around 5k now recently one sold for over 11k like Bryce said.

If we are going to establish a section for the highest price that a can has ever sold for, how about a section for the highest price that a:
Gas Pump has ever sold for.
A Sign has ever sold for.
A air meter has ever sold for.

I love the idea of record holders. Maybe make it a sticky and update it when new sales are confirmed. Be pretty fun. Top 3 in all categories.
