The light switch on my 850 has a twist action in a clockwise direction to turn on/off. The shaft is broken and I would like to know what the original knob looked like. Attached is a photo of the outside of the light switch. The switch plate had bakelite insert or bushing where the switch shaft passed through the cover. Can someone post a photo of an original light switch knob? Joe

Looks like no one has ever seen this type of light switch on a Tokheim 850. It was placed on pumps with serial number range 369,972 - 499,999. I purchased a copy of the Repair Parts Manual; so no I know what the knob looks like.

I tried to get to mine but my non-gutted 850 is three pumps deep, and I can't get the skins off while its buried (and my access door is 'painted' shut). Sorry. Maybe someone else can get to theirs. I may have to move a few pumps around next week to make room for a new purchase. I might be able to get to it then.

I’ve had 5 tokheim 850’s and none have had the knob..... just like yours, with about a 1/2in rod threaded on the end....so I’d be no help. Would like to see what the knob loks like myself. Chris

The image of the knob shown in the Repair Parts Manual may be all we get. I drilled out the broken off brass shaft and tapped it. I threaded a machine screw into the shaft and now ready to find a knob and attach it. I will let you know what I come up with. My switch mounts to the switch cover plate with two small slot drive machine screws; not like the image depicts. The switch appears to mount to the sides of the switch box in the parts manual diagram.

Here's the original switch knob. It threads onto the switch stud and then rotates clockwise from "off" to "on" to "off."

Thank you for the photo. I purchased a similar knob on eBay for $1.69. it has 2 tiny set screws, but I am OK with that.
