Pawn Stars could be a fun show and I think that its partly responsible for getting me more interested in material culture as a part of history. I sometimes miss its spin-off; American Restoration.

I had noticed his absence from the show for the past season or two. Ditto what Gulf Warrior said, Pawn Stars is one of the shows that teaches you about the history of the item and the background, not just what something is worth. May the Old Man rest in peace.

He sure loved his Pie.
I loved how he was always the final deciding voice and would scold the others when they bought something they wanted to keep for themselves..."We're here to make money Dang it!"
And acquiring as much Gold & Silver as he could. When someone would bring in a precious metal coin, his reaction was to buy it & just melt the thing damn down!...LOL.
