I picked up this 1957 48” Coca Cola button at a acreage sale yesterday. It’s pretty rough but the owner told me that the big dent in the top came from using it as a toboggan as a kid he hit a rock at the bottom of a snow covered hill and went flying! The price was right and i liked the story, not sure if the wife will like it hanging in the living room but...

1- Mint has its place, but gotta love signs with CHARACTER!
2- Coca-Cola is timeless
3- Don't remove the sign if you get feeling she doesn't like it there, at least not yet. Negotiate. Say something like, "yeah, I guess it would look better on the garage wall. And remember that car my buddy has for sale? We should buy it, right?"

I was told, by my Dad, that the story sells the product. No matter the commodity, the story is what the buyer remembers. I like the look. Paul www.severngaspumps.com

A lot of those were used as sleds. I had one with a million scratches on it. The owner told me it was used as a sled also. I believed him. Now if you buy it from a guy in Florida or Texas who said he used it all the time as a sled, well then...…..
