I have two pumps with cash recorders in them and have been told by both Tom Buckles and Joe Yocom that they have never done more than a cosmetic repair to the wheels that record the sales amount. My recorders are missing the price tags and I have some NOS units I would like to add but the pins on the sides are index differently for each amount on the tags. These pins will not move up or down and I’m concerned if I tried to make them work that I would do more harm than good. I’ve been told the adjustable side pins, marked in red, can be removed, much like pulling a tooth (pliers and wiggle them free), without doing any damage to the recorder. This would allow me to use different price tags that would snap back into place over the remaining top and bottom nonadjustable pins , marked in green. Can anyone tell me if this is correct? I’ve attached a photo that might help someone understand what I asking. Thanks

I believe the tabs are designed to slide up and down but won't move because the internals are sized up. I hate to damage the recorder to the point that it would not be repairable.

I have a great deal of information on clock face computers, can you tell me who made this one?

Jack, I'm not sure if I understand your question but the cash recorder shown above is in a Dayton 1420.
