I’m trying to educate myself on pumps and have started to collect a few. I’ve been eyeing this Wayne, about a mile from me, for about a year. I stopped and spoke with the lady who owns it, but she said she didn’t want to sell it. I didn’t know the model when I first saw it, then after researching the shape, I assumed it was a 60. I’ve been driving by occasionally to admire it.
I stopped today and just let her know I was still interested. I gave her a $ figure to think about and she couldn’t believe I would pay that much. She said she would think harder on it. I looked it over more closely and noted the ID plate says 866. I had to research that model and see that they all appear clock faces, which this is clearly not. The faceplate even is a Tokheim. She is about 80 and said that she and her husband had a local oil supplier put it in when they first bought the farm.
Any thoughts on the face discrepancy?

Some one might have replaced the side skin years ago and left the id plate on it. Or they might have upgraded it to a meter pump when the clock mech. went out. Wayne 60 for sure. Richard

I agree with Richard. Wayne 60. A Wayne 866 has a reset KNOB on the side and not a crank.
