So I picked up this box at a local antique store. Its had a heavy coat of varnish applied sometime during its life, which I guess I will have to live with as there is no going back. My question concerns the graphics, and Im wondering if they were touched up prior to the varnish. If someone has a similar box, Id appreciate it if you could post a pic so I could compare them. I hope the graphics werent monkeyed with, Id appreciate your opinion.

Looks unmolested to me....some of these old wood boxes are surprisingly well preserved and the graphics still nice and bright.
I bought this crate end piece from a friend who had it on his wall for years. I know it hasn't been touched....I couldn't pass it up as a wall hanger for $10!
