I believe there is a trick to getting this door to close, but cant remember what it is. Can anyone describe the process?

I don't understand. Mine closes just fine. What's stopping it from closing?

You're right it's not really the door per say. From memory as its tucked in the corner of the garage there is an internal lever that's in the way of the door closing completely. If I remember, you have to do something with the stops to be able to move the lever so it's out of the way so the door closes. I closed it once with guidance, then opened it again and and havent tried to close it in decades. I'm selling the pump and need to shut the door before its loaded in his trailer.

There is a mechanism that allows the user to drain the cylinder either into your cars gas tank, or back to the storage tank. You have to flip the arrow lever which in turn lifts the rod which then allows the external handle to move right/left, which then get's it out of the way of the door. Also, the lever is adustable up and down and have just been bumped out of whack and it's hitting the door.
Best pictures I have of it all.

Pull down on the placard arrow to lift the rod that rests on the handle. Slide the handle into position so the rod rests on it.

Here are some pictures of what I'm facing. Seems I can't move my arrow down.

i'm no pump expert but I would think you will have to take your skins off the pump to actually see what needs fixing.
