Can any of you seasoned sign guys tell me if this Texaco pump plate is a reproduction ? It does have "shelving", the eylet holes are split between the black edging and the white. The holes perfectly match the original mounting holes in the door of my Tokheim 36b.A few of the actual eyelets are missing. I can post more pictures if needed. Thanks for any help, Bob

Looks good Bob. By the way, don’t let shelving determine authenticity on your future purchases. Fakes have shelving and their holes line up as well. But your sign looks good to me.

If you want to get that yellow staining off, you can use Bon Ami powder porcelain cleaner and scrub with a sponge. It won’t hurt the porcelain. Or leave it as is, looks cool either way.

Thanks Steve, i know the repros have alot of the features of the originals. I was just going by the few things i know about. I was a bit concerned because it has the date on the left and the "made in usa "on the right. The others i have seen have the date on the right etc. This is the earliest version i have seen ( 3-40 date) so maybe the earlier ones were dated on the left (?) Anyway, glad it looks "right". I am putting this on my unrestored 36 b. It has old crackled paint and some spots of surface rust and the faces are faded.I will leave the staining on it.I like old things to look old,but thanks for the Bon Ami tip. I didn't know they still made that stuff.
Bob
