Been a while since I posted, hopefully back now. I have a Tok 39HR (hose retracts in bottom). Does anybody have experience repairing retract function? I haven't taken it apart yet, not sure what I'll find. Thank you in advance for any advice you may have.

Buzzy, I think he's talking about the hose re-coil mechanism that pulls the hose into the cabinet, if you have a diagram of that.

I have the actual images of the 300 tokheim pump hose retractor and I don’t know if the 39hr used the same ? I will send him a few of the ones I have to compare his too.

No, that is just a hose retractor cable weight. On his the entire gas pump hose gets retracted into the body. Look at the bottom of the side panel of the picture I posted. I believe there is a large drum inside that the hose winds up on.

It looks somewhat like a air hose retractor . Large drum, spring loaded, moving metal locking plates.Holes on one side that you can reach hose coupling!! One heavy pump with all the components in place...

Yes, this is what it looks like. Plan to take a look this weekend to see what's broken, I'm thinking a recoil spring or some such mechanism. Has anybody dealt with this recoil mechanism? Thanks for the info.

Sent out a help call to Gas Pump Rob . He had a video one time that led into a friend of his disassembling and cleaning a hose retractor spring loaded box . Just recalled it this a.m. possible he can remember which one it was and repost the step by step opening cleaning and reassemble video ? Shot in the dark
