I just bought a pair of these clear with etched logo and surround Flying A lenses. They were not advertised as either original or repro., just having come from the estate of a "collector". I bought them figuring that they are probably repros, but because I can't find them offered anywhere, or even find an image on Google of another set, I have to wonder: could they be old?

I have not seen other lenses that did not have a solid color background. Would you light with an old porcelain fixture with an Edison type bulb, light from below with no bulb visible in the globe, or use no light at all? Thanks in advance for your input/information.
