New to the forum. I recently purchased a 41 Bennett 646 tall gas pump from my neighbor. He's elderly and has recenly sold his house to relocate to a warmer climate. The pump received a sympathetic restoration around 2005. Sympathetic meaning that many original parts were reused and left in original condition with patina. Many of those parts are in acceptable condition. One part that distracts from the pump is the nozzle receiver bezel. The bezel is brass and is tarnished and has no remaining plating. What should be the factory correct finish on this part (i.e. zinc, cad, chrome, polished brass, etc) I'd like to restore the bezel to improve the overall appearance of the pump.
Thanks
Dereck
