Hi all,
I'm bringing home my first pump next week, and trying to figure out the best way of loading it into my outback.
The pump is gutted, but has the computer and sight glasses.
It looks like "face" down is the way to go (wrapped in a moving blanket or 2) with the doors packed separately.
But I figured I'd ask here first before screwing something up.
Thanks in advance!

The other thing I did was along with what you mentioned is I would leave the doors on and bring a piece of plywood to place between the door area and tailgate to even out the weight when tipping the pump in.

i bought two pumps back from the states and took them to Alaska in my Chevy Tahoe. I wrapped each of them in shrink wrap. worked very well. "It looks like two coffins in the back of your truck" according to Canadian border agent when he looked inside my truck . it was funny

I would rent a truck from Home Depot or similar if it's over 5 feet tall.
I picked up this Wayne 100B and transported it in my 2008 Suzuki SX4 4 door hatchback. I put a piece of wood beneath it.

Thanks everyone! The seller had already removed and wrapped the doors, but I brought a 3/4" plywood plank that I taped some of that extra thick honeycomb cardboard to it, put a rolled up moving blanket to protect the sight glass and it tipped and slid into the outback easy peasy.
The globe rode shotgun in a carseat.
Now the fun begins- completely unsurprising to everyone this is going to be a bigger project than expected, but at least the animals that apparently lived in the computer at one point have moved out.
Stay tuned for more newbie questions!
