Hello all, I hope that someone on here can give me some direction...I recently picked up a Red Giant Oil 16 fl oz "can" but, it's not made out of tin. It is made out of glazed pottery . At first I thought that maybe it was a modern collectable or something (like a pencil jar or something like that) but, it has corrosion at the top and bottom where it looks like a fluid leach out. Please help with any information that you may have.

No paper, it's literally all pottery except a thin band of metal (presumably where the top lid adhered) and the bottom rim and cap are also metal.

Found this web site. Seems this guy makes all sorts of oil cans and such out of glazed porcelain. Yours is further down on the site. First cans I’ve ever seen made from porcelain and ceramic.

Wow Desertexplorer! I'm disappointed that I didn't find a super rare collectable but, I'm happy that the mystery is solved. You are a top notch detective! I guess I'll throw it on eBay and see what an oil can inspired artist-made tumbler is worth. Thanks for your help.

Someone thought it was worth $85, neat piece.
