I have had 2 different shortbases. One stamped steel and one cast iron. My tall base was aluminum.

All the tall bases i have seen had the tall tops with the sight glass. The short base pumps that had tall tops were either solid, ad glass or one of the script tops such as Mobilgas, Conoco or Sunoco.

I have been restoring MS80's for a long time. Check out my For Sale "pumps" section on my site....www.severngaspumps.com Scroll down thru the Sold items. You will see all the options that were available. The Cyclops tops...with the sight glass in the center, had both base styles. Usually built for Standard Oil, that is why the globe holder is usually 7 inches wide, instead of the normal 6 inches. Regards, Paul www.severngaspumps.com
