Looking for advice to remove visi gauge glass to sand blast pump. I got the top off OK, but the glass appears to be set in a gasket or seal of some sort. Any suggestions? Maybe I could just cover glass with layers of Duct Tape before blasting.

I’ve had some visigauges that have a grout material that’s very hard. I’ve had luck soaking in Kroil. it’s like a penetrating oil, but seems to be more effective. After soaking, carefully scrape out the material with a dental tool or something similar, but be careful to not scratch a line into the glass or it can break off. It may take a few iterations and some patience. Good luck!

Be patient. I know original is best, but if it accidentally breaks PetroNuts.com sells replacements.
