Roger... So what's your current view on restored globes? Is the market shifting opinion on these? Personally, I think it's the only way to enjoy some really rare pieces, like the one in this thread. Can't wait to see it finished! Way to go Cheese & Dawn, looking great for sure!!!!

Current view is just that, an opinion. I feel that each collector should do what makes them happy and not look to others for what is "in vogue". No sense in any more arguing on this site so let me say that Dawn does an excellent job at globe restorations and I don't know anyone out there that would say different. I personally like a little "character" on my pieces. Some folks don't want nothing but "New old stock" stuff with no restoration. Some like a piece that they picked up cheap and restored so it looks great. To each his own, everyone has there own likes. I think restoration is fine as long as it is represented that way when sold. I say this as a collector. I did notice that some of the larger dealers are making statements when they sell that nothing is touched-up when in fact they made alot of money off touch-up globes in the past. Only an observation, as I am sure the rest of everyone else see this too. Kind of like the ole John Kerry flip-flop---"Its not OK, it is OK, its not OK". The old guide books say no touch-up, then later OK, now not OK. So which is it? I say let everyone decide for themselfs. Hey Sinclair Joe, are you trying to get me to preach again? Don't get the Woco thing started again!!!!LOL

Roger... Woco...What Woco? No...........not me Anyway, last I knew, you found your Woco-Pep at the price you wanted, which is always a good thing. Now, if I could only "a-ford" a Cobra, we'd be almost even!
