What do you see unrestored Wayne 60's going for these days? Haven't been to a gas bash for awhile and would like to own one, but need to know a fair price to offer.

Thanks

Too damn much..thats what they go for. I'd love one myself, but 1500-2K for an unrestored one? I cannot justify that.

The best of the best condition wise have been bringing $1500 face-to-face retail. Ebay's a different animal, based on "Pick-Up Only"....or "Buyer Must Arrange Freight". If you can find one in your area that's on ebay, you might just get lucky and get it cheap.

We brought three or four to Iowa last year and sold most of them before the show even started. I think the cheapest one we sold was for 1400.

Iowa was 'lousy' (meaning alot) with 60's last year more than I have seen at any show. And they were cheaper than they have been. An 866 was marked at 1400 and sold for I think 1300 on Wednesday night. The flip side, 36B's were marked high and don't think I seen one marked as sold.

If ya' buy a 60 hang on to it a few years. I think too many speculators showed up at the same time last year.

Seth is spot on about eBay. I have been following prices on eBay for nearly a year.

Last year there were lost of wayne 60's at Iowa, but the year before there was not. Seems like the vendors think, wow lots of 60's this year, im not bringing any next year. Seems to be tons one year then one or none the next year, then back to tons again.

I've been watching for a Wayne 60 too. Seems that if you find one they are pretty expensive. A farmer near me has one he still uses and won't part with it at any price he says. BUT, he is pretty old and maybe when he passes his son will sell?? Kind of makes a guy look like a pump vulture.

Clock faces are hot. Does anybody think the visibles are going kind of flat anymore price-wise? People seem to want a pump they can display indoors with a globe........

Midway, people that cant display a visible indoors (or wont make mods so they can) think like that all the time..

and they have for years...

Then Seth comes along and says visibles are hot sellers, and were last year as well..

All a mater of perspective, if its not easy for you to display a visible you will always find excuses..

Like most thing, if you want it bad enough you will get it(within reason)

Personally I want a visible to look at when I look out the window of the house..
