Here is another one i am currently restoring. I believe it to be a Southwest OK7-D. I was able to get all new sheet metal for it. I still need a few items but the big stuff is all there. I think i will paint it solid red for Texaco Ethyl.

LOL, i hear ya. However, I personally find more T-176's in my area than anything else. I am not a big fan of the SW OK-7 visible but it is still a visible so that makes it "ok" in my book, LOL.

Hummmmmmm, I reckon so........ Bein as Standard Oil of New Jersey , (Esso- Enco- Pate -et all ) owned Gilbert & Barker at the time , it's no wonder that Standard who wanted every station in Dodge to be a Standard dealer . Rember , , it was the Mellon family of that Evil ole Gulf to be the user of South - West equipment . Ed Shaver

Made some more progress today. Got all the side seam bolts installed, bottom jar lid and the base bolted up. The door panels were all fitted but i ran out of bolts so that ended it for the day. Everything is looking really good so far. I am starting to get anxious about getting it painted. Probably gonna order my bonnet and cylinder Tuesday. Anyone know where i can get a good cylinder? Prefer glass but i imagine that is out of my price range so i will have to settle for an acrylic.

Got the panel covers and drainback piping done. Does anyone have a pic of a S/W OK visible nozzle hanger? I have no idea what type of hangar was used originally.

Thanks,
Zack

Zack, here is a photo of a SW nozzle hanger I made from stainless a few years ago. I copied an original. It mounts in the casting the glass sits on but I can't remember if it shares a mounting hole with the skins or has a seperate hole. I'll put it in the envelope with the ID tag going out to you tomorrow.

That is awesome Richard. I really appreciate all the help you are giving me on this project. These small details are what really sets off an old pump.

Hey guys. I won this on EBAY today. It is an original Southwest nozzle. I could not believe i got it for $32.78.

Haven't made much progress lately. I have been down with a bout of high blood pressure lately. I hope i can get it under control so i can get back to this pump. I hate being this close and get stumped because of my medical problem.

Wade..... I had a local sheet metal shop roll the new pieces. Ron Scobie has been the biggest help to me on parts. I would drop him an email. I don't know of anyone who has an exact SW bonnett. I will be using a Wayne 515/615 bonnet for mine. They look real close in comparison.

OK guys, I need your help again. I have had this original "Sky Chief" sign for 30+ years. It is curved porcelin as to fit a visible pump and is dated 3-4-47. I plan on using it on this pump so, I need some ideas on what would be the correct location for this type of sign and some color ideas for painting the pump. Thanks for all your help.
Zack

It is your pump so whatever colors you choose will be great. I like dark green and silver for Sky chief.

Thanks, Phil

Ok guys, it was finally under 100 degrees here today so i got the S/W painted. Here it is as of 30 minutes ago. Hope to have it all assembled in a week or so. I am using PPG paints and it turned out great. I know its not historically accurate in color but i like it anyway.
