I am finally getting my pump together and thought I would show some pics. I first soaked the pieces in Dawn dish detergent to get the main crud off. I then used Bar Keepers Friend and lightly scrubbed them with a Scotchbrite pad. They came out great! John

Doc, I saw that on a post when I was researching. I was going to do the Bar Keepers Friend and then try the Soft Scrub w/Bleach on stains that wouldnt come out, but they all came out so never got to try that method. You are right about the water though. I decided to clean these just as my wife decided to do some baking, so we had to fight for the sink and countertop. I won. John

DON'T MIX UP THE BAKING POWDER WITH THE BAR KEEPERS FRIEND! LOL! I never thought of that. Could have been disasterous. It might have scratched the porcelain lol

I use those blue scotch bright scubbies, the ones with a sponge on one side and the scubbie on the other.
They are awesome. They don't scratch. Used with the barkeepers friend, a great combination.
Always looking for Ithaca Gun and Lucky Sam soda items!!!

My wife started me using Barkeepers friend ,its the best way I've found to clean faceplates and old porcelain signs. I now have my very own can for the garage.
