If they have 4 price wheels they will not fit the older "crankback" pumps.
There are totalizer wheels and a few other parts that will intercahange , but not much else.
Just because it has three price wheels does not mean it will fit a pre '56 pump.

If it has 3 inch gallon and money wheels it should be a crankback if the wheels are 4" in dia., it is a post '56 computer, semi-automatic.

A little more than scrap price is what I offer for the newer ones.

I once had a pair of Tokheim short 39`s that came from a truck stop that had 4 price wheels. They were crank back computers and the porcelain faces had not been cut out for the extra digit. I can`t remember the model of the VR but they were the only examples I had ever seen. Also if it`s a semi-automatic computer you`ll find where the faces mount, this part of the computer is slanted, where the crank backs are straight.---Greg Brown

This is a modified crankback.
It has a newer style variator.
I have seen the top plate like this one modified to accept another price wheel.
An even later variator top plate can be used as well.

I have never seen a modified crankback variator.

I guess I mis-spoke about the pumps I had. I meant to say that my pumps had 4 dollar wheels and 4 gallon wheels not 4 price wheels.-----Greg. PS.-- The VR`s were definitely crank back.
