I saw a few repro ripple globe bodies on Fee-Bay last spring. Anyone know who is repopping these and where they might be found?

Petroleum Artifacts, Tulsa Oklahoma. Joel Shaddaday makes them. He has several different user Id's on ebay in which you can sometimes find them.

WOW... looked at the link. Don't care for the rings they are using on those now. But $400 is a lot cheaper than $3000+. LOL
Robert what lenses are you putting on one?
Looking for anything from Hoosier Pete, Platolene 500 and Red Bird.

Just looked at gasglobes.com at the one's Scott has and his are the old style bodies. Meaning they still have the original style rings where the ones on ebay are newer with the new style rings.
Looking for anything from Hoosier Pete, Platolene 500 and Red Bird.

I've never dealt with a ripple globe before..will lenses for a Capco body fit into a ripple body without problem?

Capco and most glass body lenses are 13.5" in diameter. Gill bodies were made in 14", 13.5" and 13 3/8". The ripple bodies were made to only hold the 13 3/8" lenses. You can display 13.5" glass body or capco lenses on a ripple gill body but they may be loose and not firmly seated to the body because of there slightly larger size. I have put a layer of tape around the lip of the ripple body where the lenses attach resulting in a much better fit.
