Hi folks some of you may even know me from doing model car service stations and photographing the real thing for a book I was going to do back in the 1980's. Im trying to find out what years that Amoco or Standard Indiania used the "glass brick towers on their stations. Theres one here in Richmond Va. thats about ready to become a distant memory. Im wanting to do a 1-25th scale model of this jewel as its a rare one bay with the curved glass office. Ya'all can see my work on Model Cars Magazine forums just go to Diorama
see ya on the road folks !

eshaver,
The building sounds really neat. I've seen pictures of similar buildings on agilitynut's site. Do you have any pictures of this one?
I can't help you with exact dates, but it might be possible to use city directories at the library to find out what year it was built.
Thanks, Wes

That is really cool. Where is the glass brick station in Richmond? Also, have you seen what they are doing to the old station around Broad and 17th?
