Hello everyone,
I am from Saskatchewan, Canada. I recently "discovered" old gas stations and related memorabilia. I have been in the old car hobby for about 30 years, and have seen and been around Petroliana during that time, but I did not pursue finding out more about it until last year. I have come to like the Walter Teague designed Texaco Stations from the late 1930's to the 1950's. It would be great to see one in person! But I do not know of any in my neck of the woods. I will keep my eyes open now for sure for any old gas stations and memorabilia that I come across in my travels.
Best regards,
Chris Rocen

Chris: Welcome to oldgas. My parents were from Prince Albert. I,too, am a Texaco collector. I like those stations as well.

Welcome Chris, The Teague designed Texaco stations are a true classic not only in petroliana but also architecture in general. You'll find a bunch of us feel the same as you.

Hey Chris, Welcome to the site. Were you born and raised in Saskatchewan? If so, I am wondering at what age you were able to spell it! Have fun here. John

Hi John, I was born and raised in Saskatchewan. I think that I finally got all of the letters in the right order when I was in grade 9, but in order to graduate from grade 12, you have to be able to spell it. Maybe I was a bit smarter than the rest of the kids in my class! I guess it is kind of like spelling Mississippi. Thanks for the welcome, Chris
