I have an old Gilbarco 1006 pump that I would like to restore. It was missing the porcelain face plates when I bought it and I just came across one on eBay and bought it. The only problem is that when I put it on the numbers for the price per gallon line up but the total sale and total gallons do not. My computer has 4 reels for each of these but the face plates only have 3 slots. Do I need a new (ie older) computer or is there a way to modify the one I have. I'm assuming that since this one was used on a farm they might have upgraded the computer to see more gallons pumped. Thanks in advance for any help.

When gasoline hit $1.00 a gallon.....mid Seventies...I think?....the fuel companies had to change out all three wheel computers and replace them with four wheel units. This allowed the pump to continue beyond a $9.99 sale. You will most likely need to replace the computer with a three wheel unit.... Paul www.severngaspumps.com

If I am not mistaken, the one that should go in that pump should
be three wheel, and have the dashpot on the top right
similar to this unit.... the variator can be newer model as long as it is three wheel
