HAPPY BIRTHDAY Mick
June Gloom [Marine Overcast] sure makes it nice when working close to the Coast & most of the time it burns off around 11am. But, I'll be 15 miles inland in Ojai where the temp last couple of day has been in High 80's +! At least I got the awning up Wednesday so I'll have some shade to work in.

Sun came up during my walk this morning, but wast blotted out by some dark clouds. It's not very warm but very humid....probably be a wishy washy kinda day. Still have plans on hitting the lumber yard and working on a couple local jobs. Isolated thunderstorms predicted for the next 4 days! frown
No doubt the thursday evening car show downtown will get rained out once again....3rd week in a row mad

How's this for thermo-nuclear hot coffee....

Have a Gr8 day!

Happy Birthday, Mick!
Good Morning everyone.

Nice day here, starting out in the 60s with low humidity. No trenching yesterday on my electric service. Dealing with contractors either builds patience or drives you nuts. I'm in the middle. wink

Have a great day out there.

Morning all! Happy Birthday Mick! Ya must be catching up to us "older" Old Gassers! LOL Pretty soon you can retire and your days can be filled with whatever hits your fancy--after yhe honey do's, of course--LOL
We have sunshine here in North Dakota but we have a tough couple weeks coming for our neighbors in Minot, ND! If you've seen it on the national news, then you know how serious it is! Its expected that at least 11,000 people will be displaced from their homes. The sirens sounded yesterday and it was the final call to get out of the flood zone. Anything thats left in there is at the mercy of the flood waters. The flood is expected to top the records set in the late 1800's, by at least 4 feet. This is a very serious loss to that community and my prayers go out to them!
Have a great day on me!!--KEVIN

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICK!!! Michelle finished the German Chocolate Cake last night. Make sure your here at 6pm for the cake cutting ceremony.

Overcast right now but I am sure the sun will peek out later. Been enjoying these summer days. Hard knowing there is cake in the fridge and I have to wait till tonight. Oh the agony!

Have a great birthday Mick! Overcast warm day in Hillsdale today. As long as all the bad weather is done by tomorrow I'll be good. I'm on the committee hosting a downtown cruise-in tomorrow, so we're hoping it clears like "they" say it's supposed to!
Have a good day all,
Darin

WOW!! another whole bunch of birthday wishes!! well today i turned 1/2 century, and although i may still be a youngster to some of you,it really feels like a sort of milestone.we have had a few losses of friends and family this year, and it really did kinda get me thinking about my age.alot!when i was young,i probably went to a funeral maybe once every 5 years.this year i have been to 4 and all were very sudden.when that happens,it really makes you think that you are not invincible anymore.anyways, one thing is for certain....having friends and family is the most important thing and it makes you feel great when your friends let you know they care.thanks to all of you, very very much! mick ps takin the rest of the day off,and think my wife and son are gonna buy me a steak and lobster dinner!!(wonder where they are gettin the money??) heres one i guess i have to live with!!
something like 31-33 years ago!

...Happy Birthday, Mick...wow...that photo is too much...but I've got a similar photo and I'm sure lots of other Oldgassers do as well...it would definitely make for an interesting thread on Oldgas...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...
