Hi - I want to purchase a repo pedistal base and pole for a Eco 97. I wanted to know if anyone knows if these repos are quality and similar to the originals. I recently purchased some repo Tokheim parts and was disapointed with the cheap pot metal and poor chrome plating on a couple of parts. Thanks for any advice and direction to get a great base for my 97.
Mike

dont know about those tokheim repo parts you purchased but watch any outer restoration chrome or stainless pieces or kits for the eco air meters that you purchase ..
yes, for the most part most eco air meter pedastals etc are about the same .. its the shipping and handling on these heavy items that will kill you .. make sure you ask the vendor of choice if theirs are as the originals ..
probably best go to a local swap meet and get one .. your in florida so you might also check with an outfit called past gas .. you might be close to them and so that you could go around... see touch and feel it plus once again save all that shipping etc ..

The original pedestals were all steel, then around 1970 Bennett Pump Co. switched to all aluminum.
We have them available in both all aluminum, or partial aluminum (the post is steel). They can all be seen on my new website: www.petrolianacollectibles.com
If you are planning on making your unit work I suggest you get one of my ECO Service Manuals. It includes many tips to make your repair easier.

I have two repo styles available.
1. Cast iron base, cast iron access door, .120" steel pole, steel tie pipe and cast iron flange.
2. All aluminum primed parts from OPW (not the imported parts) with a steel tie pipe.
Contact me at rscobie@gaspump.com if you have any questions.

I've used Ron's pedestals before and they are top quality, as everything he sells is. Rich B
