I recently bought UGL paint thinner and brush cleaner that is supposed to be non-harmful to humans and the environment. Its water soluable and doesnt smell. The consistency is weird, thick like paint stripper. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked. I put 2 stiff brushes that had been used on poly in a can of the brush cleaner and it actually worked! I had previously tried the good old, nasty brush cleaner and it didnt even loosen them a little. I tried the paint thinner on a brush I had just used for poly and it cleaned it well. My past experience with "green" products has been less than satisfactory, but this stuff works great. Give it a try, especially you guys who work with chemicals and petrol-based products frequently to limit your exposure. John
