Looking for information on a cabinet similar to this. http://petrobarn.com/barn/main.php/v/pumps/IMG_0921.jpg.htmlIt is different in that the entire top half is glass. The one I have run across is missing the back. Has the globe ring on top but no globe. Has two decals that say Farm Service Supply Equipment and Parts stuck on it, very old paper decals. Solid, only light rust. Will try to get a picture. I know a couple Old Gasser's have them to display items in but could not find a photo or information on here. Looked thru numerous collectors books, Not in Jack's Pump book. We could not find a manufacturer name on it, might have been on the bottom. It is red but needs restored. Don't know how you would rate condition, but on a scale of 1 - 10 I would say 7. Maker? Approximate Value range? First manufactured? Thanks Chuck

Will try and get some pictures. Was Dark in the garage w/o lights when I was over there.
Was hoping an old gasser that had one would recognize and post a picture of his.

OK; Here are some photos. Generic in nature I am sure. Wonder who the manufacture is? (we could not find any marking on it at all) Appoximate Value? Note the back glass is missing, but should not be hard to replace. Chuck

OOh-Ahhh. Nice. When I dont know what something is worth, I go with my gut-with mixed results-lol. I just think if I saw this at a house auction I would try to get it -to keep. I really like the patina and the look. This is one of those things I'd tell myself like dont go over 500.00. And if it slowed down around that Id probably jump in and maybe go a few bids higher. At an auction it might go for alot more than that. Anyway, thats my two cents. I could be way off.

NICE Island display cabinet. Some will step up around $750-900. I've seen stripped MOBIL OIL Cabinets sell for $900-1200 W/O any signs or charts.

Thanks guys. Don't know if he intends to sell it right now, I wanted to get him as much information as I could in case he does. It may go into auction with other stuff at the house down the road. Surprised we could not find any maker mark on it at all. Looks to have been painted a number of times over the years, may be covered up. Chuck

...did you look for the embossing along the lower side of the cabinet? all the Mobiloil cabinets I've seen have it...
Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

We did look there actually after I saw several Mobil cabinets had that marking. Nothing. So far we have not turned it over, but I don't really expect it to yield info on the bottom. Could have been removed in an earlier paint job. I need to measure the globe holder on top. two rings, outer ring is about 6".
